Windmill Cup 97

Stefan wins by narrow margin !

TMFK keep their early summer tradition...

The 1997 Windmill Cup C/L stunt competition was to be the first competiton on the new field: Flatter surface C/L circle, conveniences like electricity, toilet and running water, etc.. Every year the same questions though; will anybody come, will the weather be any good... BUT this year we got six competitors and warm weather with just enough wind from the SW . It could not be better ! The morning had some thick fog, so some had orientation problems on arrival !

It was to be a fairly tight competition, with not many points separating the six competitors

When all six had flown their three heats, and all the scores were added together, Stefan Lagerqvist had won (we think he has won all contests he has entered into this year !) before Staffan Ekström, Lars Roos, Erik Björnwall, Alf Eskilsson and Ingmar Karlsson.
Da winnah ! Stefan Lagerqvist, Kungsbacka

Altogether, it was a successful meeting, and we would like to thank all the participants, especially the judges Pelle Pettersson and Erling Linné. Without them there would be no competition, right?
Lars Roos
