Club activities


Trelleborg Model Airplane Club has some 75 members, around half that number being junior members.

TMFK was founded in 1941, and has been active ever since. We have a group of leaders with a solid knowledge of model flying, and all sorts of planes are flown within the club. We have our own club workshop, where our instructors can teach those who have just started out in the hobby, and all others in the club who need help. We have our own grass field close to town, using our club R/C plane and our teachers to teach new members R/C flying. 

Our workshop is in the centre of town, where we work evenings Mondays to Thursdays during the winter months. 

The field has two runways and a Control line circle. There we fly and socialize, drink coffee and lie a bit about our planes and flights of yesteryear.

During wintertime, we fly indoors every Sunday in the Köpinge School Gym. 

We feel the right age to start model flying is around the age of 13. After that , there can be no limits. Girl, boy, woman or man, makes no difference. 
Juniors and Seniors go to R/C School


Model flying is well suited for the senior citizen, who after a life of work wants a rewarding hobby, where he can be creative with his hands.
